DAP America — Booth 1705
DAP America – as part of the DA Group— will present new technologies focused on increasing productivity and improving quality during Texprocess Americas. In essence, the DELTA digital sewing system along with the QONDAC sewing process management software creates an environment where artificial intelligence meets the operator to assist in creating the perfect seam.
When visiting plant managers in their factories, two common concerns consistently arise. The first issue revolves around reducing the learning curve for new operators so they can achieve assigned productivity and quality objectives. The second issue involves the necessity to measure overall production efficiency at the operator, production line, and factory levels.
These well-founded concerns have challenged the DA Group to develop high-performance and innovative solutions for sewing production processes.
The Dürkopp Adler division has taken up these challenges and developed the latest-generation DELTA digital sewing system. Based on the highly successful M-Type platform which set new standards for reliable and error-free sewing processes, the DELTA modular concept allows for setting up unique and specific configurations for sewing parameters, scanner systems, and Poka-yoke applications. The ability to automatically identify and set up sewing programs enables the least possible downtime along with improved quality due to the elimination of potentially error-prone human intervention.
Dürkopp Adler has also launched QONDAC, a data management software that can be tailored to your respective sewing applications and requirements. This enables maximum process reliability and ensures documentation of sewing processes as well as faster and more efficient production sequences. Flexible interfaces make it possible to easily connect QONDAC to digital sewing machines like DELTA, to enable real-time decision-making as part of a fully digitalized sewing system.
QONDAC is a network system that collects and analyzes data from sewing machines to measure productivity and quality. Manufacturing engineers can increase process transparency by gaining real-time insights for line balancing, order tracking, and worker and machine performance monitoring. Production managers can use machine data to define factory KPIs and set up operator dashboards.
QONDAC can also control the DELTA sewing machines remotely and teach operators best practices. Production engineers can optimize planning by assigning workflow to orders and rolling them out to the shop floor with one click.
Meanwhile, maintenance technicians can improve productivity and quality by sending validated machine settings from one machine to all others. Afterward, process engineers can export machine data and KPIs for big data analysis.
DELTA and QONDAC pack a “one-two” punch that allows factory managers to gain valuable insights into machine availability, sewing speeds, handling times, error messages, and much more. For more information, visit us at booth 1705 at Texprocess Americas.
