The Fox Company — Booth 933
The Fox Company will be exhibiting several new pieces of equipment at Texprocess Americas. They will be featuring three machines for cutting fabric from manually to fully automatic: Intercut FA-601 MKII, SA-501, CLP2 Manual End Cutter.
The Intercut FA-601 MKII is a fully automatic pull cut system that pulls fabric off the roll from uprights, or cradle to a specific length and then clamps and cuts the end. The machine then automatically repeats according to the number of pleats that are programmed with the touch screen programmer.
The machine is capable of stacking up to 4-1/2” high with very little end waste of 1/8” and with edge control gives a perfectly straight and square stack for cutting. This can be the front end to low or high-ply automated cutters and works with both conveyor and up-air table systems.
The FA-601 MKII is also able to automatically slit materials to width as it pulls down the table so it accomplishes multiple tasks in one operation. This is very suitable for cutting bedspreads, curtains, mattress tops, or any application where squares or rectangles are needed. The FA-601 MKII is available in withs to accommodate up to 15’ wide materials and is also able to pull multiple rolls in one pull. The Fox Company can build large capacity and heavyweight roll cradles and powered versions to feed even rolls above 1000 pounds.
The Fox Company will also be demonstrating the SA-501 which is a semi-automatic version of the Pull Cut designed for smaller shops or applications where high volume is not required. Because it is smaller and is used for pulling lengths up to 20 feet, the unit is very affordable with ROI normally under 6 months. The SA-501 again is used to manually pull fabric from a roll to a pre-determined length and then with the touch of a button closes a clamp and fires a cross-cut knife. The operator then repeats the process for whatever number of plies are needed.
The SA-501 is available standard to handle up to 72” materials and fits on any standard cutting table. We can also supply the cutting table if needed with the machine. The unit does require one operator for what is normally a two-person job so in addition to end waste savings there is a labor savings of one person.
This machine can handle very light materials as well as thicker laminated materials such as head liners in automotive applications and like the other machines manufactured in Auburn, GA can be modified to your company's specific needs.
The CLP2 Manual End Cutter is a small track end cutter with manually operated clamps to hold the front and back of the material while the operator pulls or pushes the cutting knife across the width. It is designed to be used in custom or small shops and is particularly good for drapery, and light fabrics. These are standard up to 96” and can be custom-made to wider tables. It can fit on an existing cutting table. This unit can be fitted with several types of cutting knives depending on what types of materials you are needing to cut. It can also be fitted and installed on existing tables or components of are also easily added to an existing table.
