The Needle's Eye – January 1931
Dave, thanks for another great edition of the Needle’s Eye. Just to follow up on the cover page on the old Union Special building in Chicago referenced in the February 2022 Issue #8 of the Needle’s Eye.
The building today has been converted to condominiums and lofts and is called Union Square condos. The Union Special Machine Company name is still on the building entrance. The tablet is currently located at the entrance of the Huntley, Illinois facility. Brian York, Director of Sales for the Western Hemisphere, Union Special, LLC.

The original Union Special building in Chicago was converted to modern condos but with the original name above the door.

The tablet recognizing Union Special's William Stanley North is currently located at the entrance of the Huntley, Illinois facility.
North, a prominent Chicago industrialist and civic leader was Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Union Special Corp.
