Sad to report that Dorothy Rose Fullam, of Hollywood, Florida passed away suddenly on January 16. She was the Manager of Human Resources and Manager of Industrial Sewing Machine Marketing at JUKI America, Inc., Doral, Florida.
Born in Teaneck, New Jersey to Jerome and Rita Fullam, Dorothy is survived by her longtime partner John Cagney and seven siblings.
Dorothy was originally hired by and worked for Steve Kaufman who was vice president of JUKI Industries of America, Inc. in Saddle Brook, New Jersey.
After JUKI Corporation purchased the Union Special Corporation (located in Huntley, Illinois) in 1988, both companies’ sales and marketing divisions merged to become JUKI Union Special, Inc. from 1996 until 2006.
In 2000, JUKI America moved its headquarters to Doral, Florida to better serve its customers in North and South America. In November 2006, the corporate name returned to JUKI America, Inc.
According to long-time JUKI colleague and friend, Charley Zimmerman, President of GTN (Global Technical Network, Inc.): “Dorothy loved everyone. She made everyone at JUKI happy to be a JUKI employee. She was the ultimate people person. She was the face of JUKI America for over 40 years.
We will miss her.“
