Okabashi Brands Growing
- Since 1984, Okabashi Brands has been a family-owned and operated shoe company in the small U.S. town of Buford, Georgia.
- The shoe manufacturer is investing US$20 million in the reorganization of its Buford plant by installing new production lines and creating 340 new jobs.
- Production is to be raised by 100%.
Okabashi is in the remaining one percent of US footwear manufacturers. Their shoe material is vegan, cruelty-free, and 100% recyclable. Scraps and non-saleable returns are turned into new products. Their sandals will not shrink and the colors will not fade, no matter how often they are washed.
Their shoes have garnered a loyal following with over 35 million pairs of shoes sold. Today, over ninety-nine percent of American-worn footwear is made abroad.
