Messe Frankfurt announced that the next edition of Techtextil North America will be held next year in Atlanta, Georgia, May 6– 8, 2025 at the Georgia World Congress Center. The show will once again be co-located with Texprocess Americas.
Celebrating 125 years of textiles history
Over the entirety of the event, Techtextil North America honored the remarkable 125 years of textiles at NC State University’s Wilson College of Textiles. This notable milestone was commemorated through an exceptional exhibition, the History of Textiles Museum. This special showcase on the show floor provided a captivating journey through the evolution of textiles, featuring a diverse array of artifacts that spanned from early machinery to the latest advancements in technologies and automation. Exhibitors and visitors were given a comprehensive look at how the textile industry has transformed over more than a century, highlighting both its historical foundations and its future innovations.
Alphabet Soup Collective Shindig
This week served as the official launch point of the Alphabet Soup Collective which was formed from a desire for 11 trade associations to work more collaboratively on industry initiatives and events that are beneficial to all of our respective memberships.
The Shindig debuted on the second night of Techtextil. During that event, 11 textile, nonwovens, and apparel associations – AATCC (American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists), AAPN (Americas Apparel Producers’ Network), ATA (Advanced Textiles Association), ATMA (American Textile Machine Association), INDA (Association of the Nonwovens Fabrics Industry), NALA (North American Linen Association), NWI (The Nonwovens Institute), SEAMS (The Association & Voice of the U.S. Sewn Products Industry), SPESA (Sewn Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas), STA (Southern Textile Association, and SYFA (The Synthetic Yarn and Fabric Association).
AI in the Textile and Fashion Industries
Following the Techtextil event, a one-day conference at NC State University was organized by FTBEC (Fashion and Textile Business Excellence Cooperative) at the Wilson College of Textiles, North Carolina State University.
The conference focused on how Al (artificial intelligence) is revolutionizing our industries and transforming our work. It featured keynote presentations, panel discussions, and interactive sessions. Participants were able to gain insights into the ways AI is driving efficiency, fostering business growth, promoting sustainability, and enhancing consumer engagement.
