Unique Automation Solutions for Narrow Fabrics, Automotive, Medical Textiles Industries
RSG Automation Technics GmbH & Co. KG, located in Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany near Stuttgart, has long been established as a global market leader for customer-specific special facilities for fully or semi-automated processing of narrow fabrics, and was able to expand its position worldwide in the previous decade, primarily due to the steadily growing internationalization.
In addition to the classical market in Europe, especially customers in the US have recognized the great potential that the innovative automation solutions by RSG can offer them. In the last two years alone, RSG has been able to record enormous growth and has continued to grow accordingly for employees.
With these systems, products such as lifting and lashing straps, slings, seat and safety belts can be processed and assembled in a fully automated way. Also, ultrasonic and laser applications can be implemented at production facilities.
This autumn, RSG presented the latest development for the fully-automated assembly of tension straps to the market: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2cb5Nslr6to.
In addition, over the last two years, RSG has developed various new types of production lines, which can be used to automatically produce different types of airbags and home-textiles. These systems can also integrate several 6-axis robots.
The unique solutions allow drastic time and cost savings for RSG customers and increase consistently and reproducibly production capacity and product quality. As an indispensable addition, the patented monitoring technologies for sewing processes were established on the market, which guarantees a fully supervised sewing process.

Of course, there is also currently a particular demand for customer and product-specific facility concepts in the field of medical textiles to be able to manufacture the necessary products for hospitals, medical practices, etc., again locally and independently in the future.
For example, RSG has received at short notice a large order from a South German medical device manufacturer to cope with the increased demand for medical devices and N95 respirators to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
